Sugar Spice and everything nice…. or is it? I despise how society frequently bombards us with deceitful lies that in order for us to be Beautiful, we need to show cleavage or dress a certain way. This is ABSURD! This myth must not be taken literally because the truth behind it all is that you don’t have to show skin to turn heads… If you can’t respect yourself, how do you expect others to respect you? Guess what? I have thrilling news for you! There is one who is always going to see you as the most precious being in the world and who sees you as the apple of his eye and that is God! If you don’t believe me, let me enlighten you….
In Psalms 45:11 it states, “The King is ENTHRALLED by your beauty, honor him for he is YOUR Lord.” WOW! I don’t know about you but this right now just gave me goose bumps!!
What’s my point? Well, you don’t have to show off the highlights of your body to feel pretty or accepted because you will never feel satisfied or have the feeling of self worth because that’s not what beauty is all about. You can still turn heads without going to the extreme. What do I mean? Don’t you want to dress CLASSY, COMFORTABLY, and CHARACTERISTICLY? I call these the 3 C’s.
1. Classy- Okay.. this doesn’t mean you have to dress like a queen but take Queen Diana who was for the time being a fashion icon, not because of her body but rather her dashing yet elegant sense of style. In other words classy in this matter means an appealing style without the need of revealing certain body parts (if you know what I mean…..)
2. Comfortably- Every time when I go out I always see girls with high heels that are as high as Mount Everest and every step they take they give such painful face expressions but try to hide it because even though they are bleeding they will do whatever it takes to feel pretty. By feeling comfortable yet classy you will be prone to be yourself more than a person you are trying to be.
3. Characteristically- This is my Fav! So what this simply means is BE YOURSELF! For instance, I absolutely am crazy about Bows and Floral outfits. My sister ADORES pearls and vintage accessories which I borrow all time! Thanks Stacy! So find a style that makes you, YOU!
As Dr. Suess said once, “I meant what I said and I said what I meant.” You are beautiful 100%.
Remember that God still LOVES you even if you have bad hair days!
